**Up to $15K Sign-On Bonus**

United Health Services, the largest and most comprehensive provider of healthcare services in upstate New York's Southern Tier, is hiring a Staff Registered Nurse, Physical Rehabilitation Unit to join our team at UHS Binghamton General Hospital in Binghamton, NY. The Rehabilitation unit is passionate about building relationships with patients to learn about and aid in reaching their goals. The rehabilitation unit focuses on continuous treatment of medical issues while prepping patients to return home.
Days, Evenings and Night Shifts with FT & PT availability

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Building relationships with patients to learn and aid in goals
  • Working with therapy unit to build plan of action
  • Monitoring progress and adjusting treatment as needed
  • Administering medications from Physician

Qualifications:

  • A valid RN license
  • CPR certification
  • 1 year med surg experience or med surg rehab experience
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team

Education/Experience

Minimum Required:

  • A graduate of an accredited school of Nursing

Preferred:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing
  • Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting


License/Certification

Minimum Required:

  • Current NYS RN License

Preferred:

  • Professional certification in a related nursing specialty
  • Relevant skills certification (i.e., ACLS, PALS, TNCC) as required by home unit assigned.

  • Work is performed in an office environment and patient care areas which require working in proximity to other employees and patients.
  • Rooms are air conditioned and heated.
  • Frequent walking, standing, bending and lifting.
  • Fast paced environment with frequent interruptions.
  • Exposure to equipment cleaning solutions and disinfectants.
  • PPE (Eyewear, Masks, Face shields, Shoe covers, and Gloves) as required by Infection Control policies
